The Congress party has alleged that the TRS government was hatching conspiracy to purchase lands in the guise of G.O.No. 123 meant to land acquisition for the irrigation projects and said that the Congress party was getting ready to wage war on behalf of farmers against the government.
The TPCC organized a meeting with its executive members at Gandhi Bhavan here on Sunday under the leadership of TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy. TPCC working president Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, TPCC vice-presidents, general secretaries, DCC presidents participated in the meeting.
Speaking to the media after the three-hour long meeting with party leaders Bollu Kishan, Niranjan, Azmathullah Hussaini, TPCC vice-president Mallu Ravi said that the party was contemplating to have meeting with the Kollapur farmers in Mahabubnagar district as part of its efforts. He said that the State government was taking up land acquisition program keeping the existing Act aside and brought new G.O. 123 only for land purchase.
The TPCC decided to wage war against it on behalf of it. The state government was deceived the farmers in regarding to loan waiver. The government failed to provide seeds and fertilizers though the Kharif season was started. He said that the Congress party will mount pressure on the government and do justice to the farmers. The TRS government did nothing to the people but weakened the opposition parties in the state, he alleged. He alleged that the TRS government failed in all sectors in the last two years and the Congress party tried to educate the people. It was undemocratic that the Ministers attacked Political JAC chairman Prof.Kodandaram, who criticized the government similar to Congress party, he said. Kodandaram’s statements were nothing but opinion of people of the state and it was not correct on the part of the Ministers to attack Kodandaram, he alleged.
The government has to take the opinion of the Opposition parties before it prepares draft on new districts, he said. He said that the Congress party decided to conduct Ifthar parties from mandal level to State level on June 17. The meeting has decided to give training to the local leaders to training camps, he said, adding municipal councilors, corporators, MPTCs, sarpanches and ZPTCs. (NSS)
