The differences among the senior leaders of Telangana Congress came to the fore on Tuesday when former TPCC chief Ponnala Lakshmaiah was not invited for the meeting of Warangal District Congress Committee.
According to sources, Ponnala, who represented Janagaon Assembly constituency of Warangal District for four terms, did not receive the invited for the Warangal DCC meeting held at Gandhi Bhavan on Tuesday. About an hour before the meeting, TPCC President N Uttam Kumar Reddy called up Ponnala requesting him to come to party headquarters. However, Ponnala, who was upset for not being informed about the meeting, refused to attend the meeting while complaining that he was being neglected although he had served as TPCC President till recent past.
