TPCC demands CM to pay compensation to farmers for crop loss

TPCC Vice-president Dr Mallu Ravi has demanded that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao infuse confidence among the farmers ensuring that the government will pay the compensation for the loss of crop due to heavy rains. He also asked the TRS government to assess the loss of crops due to heavy rains and pay the compensation for the same immediately.

Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Monday, Ravi asked the Chief Minister, who used to say the Congress did nothing with regard to construction of irrigation projects, to say that the Congress did nothing by standing at the filled irrigation projects like Sri Ram Sagar Project, Singur, Manairr, Mid Maner, Upper Maner, Lower Maner, Jurala, Srisailam and Nagarjuna Sagar. Instead of performing prayers at filled projects, the Chief Minister and Irrigation Minister have to tell about those projects. He said that the TRS government was performing poojas at the projects constructed by the Congress party governments. But KCR and Harish Rao were criticizing the Congress party by alleging that it did nothing to the Telangana forgetting the facts, he said.

Pointing out that the TRS government was indulging in publicity campaigning by doing small work, the TRS government’s projects Palamuru-Rangareddy, Dindi and Kaleswaram were yet to start but the government was giving huge campaign on them. (NSS)
