TPCC Chief Spokesperson D. Shravan Kumar on Thursday condemned the visit of Panchayat Raj Minister K. Tarakarama Rao to train officials of Uttar Pradesh Government on Water Grid project.
Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan here on Thursday, Shravan Kumar said that instead of visiting Uttar Pradesh at the cost of State’s exchequer, KTR should have invited UP officials to Hyderabad for training. He also condemned KTR’s consent to attend the foundation stone laying ceremony of Andhra Pradesh’s new capital Amravati. He said both Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao and his son KTR have lot of time to attend all programmes. However, they have no time to visit the families of farmers who committed suicide.
Describing Water Grid project as a non-starter, Shravan Kumar said that not even 100 inch of proposed 1.25 lakh KM long pipeline has been laid so far. (INN)
