TPCC Chief Uttam Reddy demands unconditional apology from CM KCR

Hyderabad: PCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy described CM KCR’s accusations as a result of “frustration and fear of losing the elections”.
The party members alleged that CM has “crossed all limits” targeting the Congress party with false accusations.

While addressing the media at Gandhi Bahvan on Thursday, Mr Uttam Kumar Reddy said CM had “crossed all limits”. Other party members Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and Ponnala Lakshmaiah were also present.

Mr. Uttam said Congress is no way connected with the filed petitions against regularization o contract employees of the energy department or dependent jobs in SCCL. He demanded an unconditional apology of the same.

He said people have fundamental right to approach courts, and that CM cannot stop them from doing so.

He added that the language CM has used in his press conference with media “does not suit the stature of a Chief Minister.” “His body language and tone were full of arrogance laced with frustration”, he said.

Furious at CM’s accusations, Congress activists protested at Polo Ground and also tried to hang CMs effigy on a tree.

Apart from Uttam Reddy, Opposition leaders K. Jana Reddy and Shabbir Ali along with MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy also condemned the language used by CM in his press conference.

K. Jana Reddy said TRS workers have filed most of the cases in the court. He said Congress had never objected to the development of the state but always pointed out flaws in CMs governance, adding that CM had become intolerant of criticism and court judgments.

Opposition leader Shabbir Ali said CM was proving to be “despotic (rakshana palana)” which is not good for democracy in the state.

He demanded CM withdraws his remarks he made on Congress Party and also issue a public apology for his “silly and shameful public conduct”. He alleged, “What Mr Rao has done so far is deceiving the people with false poll promises”.

Meanwhile, Revanth Reddy TD President in his interaction with the media asked CM to explain to why he did not terminate TRS when the party already got 10 seats out of the 46 it contested in 2009.
