TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy has called upon Congress activists to launch ‘Jail Bharo’ programs across the Telangana State in case the BJP government at the Centre sends AICC Chief Sonia Gandhi and vice-president Rahul Gandhi, who will be appearing before a Court with regard to National Herald case, to jail.
The TPCC organized a power point presentation program at Gandhi Bhavan here on Friday on National Herald newspaper and the case. TPCC chief official spokesperson Dasoju Sravan Kumar explained about the details of the National Herald case to the party leaders and cadre.
Later, Uttam Kumar Reddy alleged that the Narendra Modi government was indulging in revengeful politics against Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. He said the National Herald newspaper belongs to the Congress party and no corruption took place. He called upon the cadre to take up protest programs across the State on the occasion of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi attending the Court on Saturday.
Earlier, Sravan Kumar explained that there was no mistake in granting Rs 90 crore to the newspaper by Congress party in the form of a loan. He said the Election Commission provided the details in this regard to the BJP leader Subramnya Swamy, who filed a case. He said the Associated Journal Limited Company was close to the Congress party and it was running Hindi and Urdu newspapers along with National Herald. (NSS)
