The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee leaders here on Monday took serious exception to party’s former MLA and cine actor Jayasudha inviting TRS supremo and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to the release of her son Shreyan’s “Basthi” audio function on Sunday night.
Following her inclination towards the ruling party, the TPCC leaders are contemplating to remove Jayasudha from the post of party incharge of Secunderabad Assembly constituency.
It may be mentioned here that Jayasudha was maintaining a distance from party activities after her defeat in the last election.
Speaking to mediapersons in Gandhi Bhavan here on Monday, the Congress leaders pointed out Jayasudha invited KCR to her son’s film program and touched his feet on the dais. Actually Secunderabad Assembly constituency level meeting was scheduled to be held on June 22, but was postponed due the loggerheads between Jayasudha and other leaders like Banda Karhika Reddy and others.
There were rumors that TRS was trying to rope in Jayasudha hin the party in view of the ensuing GHMC elections. TRS feels that majority of the voters in the constituency are from Jayasudha’s Christian community and she may leave an impact on the GHMC elections.
Leader of the Opposition in the Council Mohd Ali Shabbir said the party would not suspend Jayasudha, but the issue will be decided at a meeting to be held at CLP leader K Jana Reddy’s residence. (NSS)
