New Delhi, April 08: Mumbai Indians coach Robin Singh today refused to predict the favourites for this year’s Indian Premier League and said it would be hard to pick one team over the other.
“Every team is dangerous in this tournament. I mean in Twenty20 cricket, any team can win on any given day. It’s a long tournament and there are no clear favourites. It’s open for every one and the team that performs on a particular day will win,” Robin told reporters here.
The fourth edition of the Twenty20 tournament started today with the opening match between Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings and Gautam Gambhir-captained Kolkata Knight Riders at Chennai.
Mumbai Indians, led by Sachin Tendulkar, will play their first match of tournament against Delhi Daredevils, captained by Virender Sehwag, at the Feroze Shah Kotla Stadium here on Sunday.
