Tough fight between MIM & Cong. in old city

Ensuing Municipal elections have become a hot topic in old city as there would be a tough fight between Majlis Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) and Congress. Keeping in view the successful visits of Congress leaders in several places of old city and rising trend of leaders joining the party, indicate that there will be a direct contest between MIM and its ally-turned-rival Congress.

Congress High Command has directed Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee to leave no stone unturned to strengthen the party in old city. There was a time when Congress was strong in old city and it held the Lok Sabha seat for the Hyderabad constituency but local political party’s secret alliance weakened the foundation of the party in old city.

This time Congress High Command has decided to contest with full might. Incharge General Secretary Digvijay Singh is in touch with leaders belonging to Hyderabad and the campaign begun by Greater Hyderabad Minority Department in old city has witnessed positive response.
