Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee new President and former Minister Ponnala Lakshmaih today said that they are giving utmost priority to Backward Classes in the elections manifesto.
Talking to the media at the Gandhi Bhavan here he said they will also give priority to BCs to ensure that they will get adequate support in the appointment of government jobs. Manifesto will comprise many issues of welfare, development, Congress strategy, he maintained. Every effort for the BCs welfare and development will be mentioned in the manifesto which will be implemented on forming the government, Lakshmaih said. “We are preparing a planned manifesto for general elections that will cater to the needs of the people of all walks of life, the Congress Chief of Telangana stated.
The congress leaders will put in persistent efforts for the cause of the BCs besides the welfare of other communities, he said. Our aim is to ensure that the BCs given due share in legislatures and the Congress is with the people to take care of their future needs, he observed. (NSS)
