Top BJP leaders in Haryana as roadshow ends

Senior BJP leaders, including Home Minister Rajnath Singh, descended at various places in election-bound Haryana Sunday to mark the conclusion of the party’s ‘Vijay Sankalp Yatra’.

Addressing a rally in Hathin in the state’s Mewat district, Rajnath Singh urged people to vote for the Bharatiya Janata Party as the party was the only one which could provide a stable and viable alternative to them.

Highlighting the corruption scams and misrule in Haryana under the Congress government in the past decade, he ridiculed the Congress claim that the state was number one in all spheres.

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, who addressed a rally in Jind, said the people of Haryana have made up their mind to oust the corrupt Congress government in the state.

BJP general secretary Jagat Prakash Nadda addressed a rally in Samalkha.

The Vijay Sankalp Yatra was launched by BJP president Amit Shah from Mahendergarh in south Haryana Aug 14.

Haryana’s assembly elections for 90 seats are likely to be held in October this year.
