London: Researchers from University of Cambridge have developed a free new online tool that will scan your Facebook profile and let you know what others think of you.
Called “Apply Magic Sauce”, the app looks into your gender, intelligence, political standing, sexual preference and life satisfaction via Facebook posts.
It collects and stores all the information about what you “like”, comment on and post, mirror.co.uk reported.
It then uses that information to build up a profile of you that is uses to target you with advertisements and content it presumes you will like.
It collaborates the information with personality traits like openness, conscientiousness, extroversion, agreeableness and neuroticism.
Using your Facebook likes and comparing them to other people on the massive social network, it gives you a clear look into your own personality.
Once you log in via Facebook, the tool will show you your results almost instantly.
“We wanted to show people, given this fairly innocuous data, this is the prediction Facebook can make about them,” lead researcher Dr David Stillwell was quoted as saying.
