Virudhunagar, Tamil Nadu, January 26:The death toll in the recent explosion in a private fireworks factory at Periya Vadiyur Village, near Sivakasi in this district rose to 11 with the death of one more person today.
Police said S Perumalsamy (50) succumbed to burn injuries at the Government Rajaji Hospital (GRH) in Madurai early this morning, taking the toll to 11 in the tragedy, so far.
Ten workers, including a woman, were killed and 13 injured in an explosion at the private cracker manufacturing unit on January 21, last.
