Toddler killed for crying

Washington, June 30: McAllen police have arrested a 28-year-old man for killing his 2-year-old stepdaughter during the World Cup soccer game on last Saturday by jamming a screw down her throat in an attempt to make the slaying appear accidental.

According to The Monitor, McAllen Police Chief Victor Rodriguez has said that Hector Castro was arrested after firefighters and emergency medical personnel had been called to the house with reference to the girl’s apparent choking on a screw.

“There are no words for this, it makes you want to think about doing lots of things to this guy, but he will face the criminal justice system just like everybody else,” Rodriguez said.

The paper also stated that Castro, an illegal immigrant had confessed to his crime.

Rodriguez said that the toddler was crying when Castro was watching the football match, and so, gave the girl a severe beating, cracking several of her ribs before suffocating her with a screw.
