State Haj Committee Special Officer Prof S A Shukoor informed that Saturday, March 15th, is the last day for submission of filled in Haj Application Forms along with necessary documents and there would be no extension in the last date.
He said that so far around 14,000 applications have been received in the Haj Committee including 500 under Category A of 70 years and 700 Applications under the Category B of ‘fourth time applicants’. The reserved category applicants will be selected automatically without Qurrah (Draw of Lots).
Prof Shukoor said that intending Haj pilgrims should submit their filled in application along with Bank Cahllan of Rs. 300/- per person, two copies of valid passport (having validity till 31-03-2015), two copies of a solemn declaration and tow color photographs of front size with white background. Reserved category pilgrims should submit original Passports along with the Haj Application Forms. He advised the applicants to obtain the Bank challan at the earliest as the Banks would function half day tomorrow i.e. Saturday.
The Haj Application Forms can be obtained free of cost from the office of the AP State Haj Committee or downloaded from the website www.hajcommittee.com. The intending pilgrims should fill up the forms as per the details of their International Passport Records in English language in bold letters. (INN)
