TNGOS oppose limit on medical expenses

The Telangana NGOs’ Union on Monday made it clear that they would not join the Health Scheme scheduled to begin from Ugadi if the State government imposed a limit on medical expenses.

The executive committee of the TNGOs’ Union met in the Union office and discussed about the terms of the Health Scheme propounded by the State government.

Speaking to the media after the meeting, TNGOs Union president Deviprasad has demanded that the government accord permission to its employees to undergo medical tests in the corporate hospitals and bear the entire expenditure. He also demanded that the State government to reduce the time limit of PRC to six months. He said they would hold workshops on the PRC in all the Assembly constituencies and submit a report to the government by the end of next month.

Deviprasad also demanded that the State government to implement Presidential Order in respect of Telangana employees, GO No. 610 and fair share in HODs. He said they would stage protest rallies every day before the 204 offices of Heads of Departments next month. The TNGOs leader has called upon the Telangana employees to participate in the TJAC-sponsored “Sansad Yatra” in Delhi and make it a total success for the achievement of separate Telangana State.

The TNGOs leader said they would call on Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, Congress president Sonia Gandhi and AICC general secretary incharge of AP affairs Ghulam Nabi Azad during the Sansad Yatra.
