TN Govt sues AIADMK leaders

Chennai, April 27: The Tamil Nadu Government today filed a defamation complaint in a city court against four AIADMK leaders for alleging that it was attempting to destroy important files and documents besides terming it as a “caretaker” government.

City Public Prosecutor M Shajahan filed the complaints in the Principal Sessions Court seeking punishment for defamation.

Taking exception to AIADMK’s allegation in a letter to the Election Commission, Chief Minister M Karunanidhi had on April 25 charged the opposition party with spreading falsehood and said the government was in the process of initiating legal steps against it.
