Telangana State RTC will be transformed into a growth path of benefits in future with collective efforts of the staff, workers and government help.
This was stated by Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao after Telangana Mazdoor Union sweeping the TSRTC elections when the TMU leaders, including Ashwatham Reddy and others called on the former at Ministers Quarters here. Congratulating the workers on the landslide victory in 10 regions out of 11 across the State, Harish Rao vowed to help the TSRTC tread on the benefits with collective efforts. “The win of TMU, an outfit attached to the ruling TRS, has increased our responsibility and we will work in tandem for the RTC growth and welfare of its staff and workers”, he maintained. “Though past governments tried to privatize the RTC, our Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is all for the welfare of staff by giving them 44 per cent of salary hike”, he claimed. The Minister also said KCR was trying to strengthen the public sector organization and enable the staff live in self respect. The State government has released Rs 350 crore for purchase of new buses for the TSRTC, he added. (NSS)
