Kolkata: The Trinamul Congress (TMC) has swept the three municipal corporation elections in West Bengal, according to trends.
Re-polling was held at nine booths of Vidhan Nagar Municipal Corporation and two booths of Asansol Municipal Corporation yesterday, amid voter apathy and a boycott call by the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Left parties.
In Bidhan Nagar Municipal Corporation, the TMC won 37 wards while the Left bagged 2.
For the 16 seats in Bali, TMC was leading on all seats.
Out of 106 seats in the Asansol Municipal Corporation, TMC won 65 seats. (ANI)
