Hyderabad: President of Telangana Jana Samithi, Prof. Kodandaram told that the meeting of the State Committee will be held next week to decide the strategy for facing Lok Sabha Elections.

He expressed his solidarity with the farmers of Nizamabad and other districts and demanded the Govt. to protect their interests. He also demanded that a separate board should be constituted for purchasing turmeric. He condemned the attitude of the Govt. that it is arresting the farmers when they are agitating for their right cause.
The leaders of the farmers alleged that they waited for an appointment to meet Mr. KCR but it was not possible. They met Ms. K. Kavitha, TRS MP of Nizamabad and submitted a memorandum to her. The farmers are demanding Rs. 16000 per quintal for turmeric.
