Hyderabad, November 15: The Telangana Joint Action Committee has decided to intensify the movement ahead of the winter session of Parliament which begins on November 22.
The decision was taken at a joint meeting of the TJAC and Telangana Employees Joint Action Committee (TEJAC) steering committee at TNGOs Bhavan here on Monday. TJAC chairman M Kodandaram presided over the meeting which was attended by representatives of all the TJAC constituents.
The TJAC leaders felt that it was the right time to revive the agitation and launch the next phase of Sakala Janula Samme as the State Assembly session was round the corner- the first week of December. An action plan with new forms of agitation will be prepared within a week in due consultation with TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao.
The meeting felt that the Congress continued to adopt delay tactics and the TJAC should target the Congress and, thereby, build a new form of political movement.
The TJAC extended its support to TRS’ Telangana Sadhana Yatra (TSY) from November 16 in all the 119 Assembly constituencies in the region. TJAC’s political constituents, BJP and CPIML (ND) separately decided to organise relay hunger strike camps and ‘chalo collectororate’ programmes from November 22 in protest against the prime minister’s and AICC leaders’ contradictory statements on T.
Briefing reporters later, Kodandaram took strong objection to the prime minister’s remarks.
