Telangana Political JAC chairman Prof. M. Kodandaram on Sunday announced that “Chalo Assembly” program would be organized in March during the Assembly session scheduled to begin from the third week of next month.
Speaking to the media after JAC meeting which discussed about the plan of action, Prof. Kodandaram said that the Congress government at the Centre was enacting dramas even as it knew there was no support for the advocacy of united Andhra Pradesh. He also said the TPJAC was urging the Congress legislators to quit their membership from the party and legislature and join the movement to hasten the formation of separate Telangana State.
The TPJAC chief said they would be launching campaign in the constituencies represented by the Congress leaders from February 16 to 21. He also disclosed that they would organize road blockade for 24 hours on the Bengaluru and Vijayawada national highways.
JAC co-convener Srinivas Goud said they would block the Hyderabad-Bengaluru national highway on February 24 and Hyderabad-Vijayawada national highway on March 2. They would also organize a bus yatra on the Bengaluru national highway from Shamshabad to Alampur in Mahbubnagar district on February 11 and 12. Similarly, they would organize a bus yatra on February 27 and 26 from Hayatnagar to Kodad on the Vijayawada national highway, he added.
