The Telangana political Joint Action committee (TJAC) is moving ahead for the cause of separate Telangana statehood, the committee has now planned to visit Egypt to study the rebellion which brought down the dictatorship.
Speaking to Siasat, TJAC convenor Prof Kondandaram told that “We want to study the uprising of Egypt by sending a delegation after Ramadan. Maulana Hamid Mohammed Khan of Movement for Peace and Justice is working on establishing contact with the Egyptian leaders who led the rebellion.”
He said that although we live in a democratic state but we are restricted to protest openly, we wont allow to organize rallies. However living under a dictatorship how the Egyptian rebellion mobilizes the people to reach ‘Tahrir Quare’. We will be studying issues like how they sustained the movement and mode of mobilization of people.
After studying the movement we want to adopt their methods in our movement for separate Telangana state.
He further states that the protests carried out in New York ‘the Wall Street Movement’ and ‘Occupy Movement’ of Europe are based on Cairo Movement only.
TJAC have also given a call for Telangana March on September 30 along the lines of protest at Tahrir Square.
