TJAC chief slam govt for making paltry payment towards fee imbursement scheme

Expressing concern over little importance given to education and medical field in the State, Telangana JAC chairman Prof Kodandaram advised the State government to give required concentration for these two sectors.

Prof. Kodandaram was speaking at a function on “Education_Medical” organized by T-JAC. Prof. Kodandram expressed concern that general people are not able to afford in medical and education sectors as these were being controlled by corporate institutions. TJAC president lamented that the State government has made payment of only Rs 928 crore for fee-imbursement as against its promise of releasing Rs 3068 crore. Due to the non-payment of Rs 640 crore under Arogyashree scheme, hospitals were not entertaining any patients under this scheme depriving poor people of medical facilities.

           

Prof. Kodandram said he has some doubts on finance position of the State government and demanded a white paper on it. (NSS)
