TITA holds ‘Telangana Digithon’at MRIM

The Telangana Information Technology Association (TITA) organized one day workshop on Emerging Technologies under the banner of ‘Telangana YUVA Nirmaan’ in Mallareddy Institute of Management (MRIM) College here on Saturday.

A Digital Literacy initiative of TITA& Government of Telangana‘Telangana Digithon’ was also conducted as part of the workshop. TITA has trained & certified 135 Digital Leaders from the college on Saturday.

TITA’s ‘Telangana Digithon’ is aimed at narrowing the digital literacy gap that persists in Telangana State by providing digital literacy trainers called ‘Digital Leaders’ with an easy-to-use platform for digital training and generously share their knowledge and experience with learners all over the state who desire a better livelihood in this digital world. Digital Leaders will follow a fully-developed curriculum to teach.

Each ‘Digital Leader’ will receive a certification and will choose a specific area of the community to work with. TITA has targeted to prepare 10,000 Digital Leaders in its first phase.

TITA President Sundeep Kumar Makthala released appointment letters for TITA – MRIM Student Chapter office bearers. K.Shireesha of MBA 1st year is elected as the President while D.Sheshasai Preethi and Milton Raja were elected as Vice Presidents, Janaki Ram as General Secretary, D.Akhila as Joint Secretary, N.Sumanth and K. Shesha Chary as Organizing Secretaries.

MRIM Principal Dr. Srinivas Shastry, HOD Feroz Ahmed, TITA Rangareddy In-charge VivekBoddem, TITA Executive members Pradeep Nilgiri, Kiran Jetty, Sumitchandra, Tarun Deva and Venu inaugurated the event. TITA members Sumit Chandra, Praveen Madipoju, Tarun were present on the occasion. (INN)
