Chapra: A student tired of frisking decided to shun his uniform and appeared for the ongoing class 12 examinations wearing a vest and clad in a pink gamcha.
According to News18 report, Parsa, a student from Prabhunath College said, “It is harrowing for us to be frisked in such a way almost every hour. The invigilators also ask us to remove our shoes as well.” “It is easier to wear a vest and a gamcha and peacefully write the exam,” he added.
Meanwhile, over 1,200 students in Bihar have been disqualified from class 12 examinations for cheating and “dozens” of people who helped the students to cheat have been arrested, an official said on Saturday. The government has deployed about 70,000 officials, including teachers and policemen on duty to hold the examinations.
The examination centres are also being monitored by CCTV cameras. About 11.60 lakh students had appeared for Class 12 exams at 1,109 centres across the state on Wednesday.
