Finally the decks are cleared for payment of dues to private hospitals providing health services under Arogyasri scheme as the discussions held between two parties today ended on a positive note. The Government has agreed to release about Rs 177 cr in about 20 days to the listed private hospitals which agreed to continue to offer services on government’ s promise of releasing funds.
During a meeting Health Minister Dr C Lakshma Reddy persuaded the hospitals’ managements to continue health services without any interruptions citing delay in funds. He further said that the government will release funds on monthly basis and the hospitals should not offering services. Referring to NEET imbroglio, health minister said that the State Government will present its argument during a Supreme Court hearing on May 3. (NSS)
