Time Remains For Change

(Khairullah Baig): Those who always raise an argument, this time around on the occasion of Id-ul-Azha, were suspicious about the scarcity of sacrificial animals in the city and blamed those who can be termed as  ‘Neo-Wealthy’ who always bow down to the demands of the animal sellers.

As this ‘community’ spends Ramzan as Haleem festival or food festival whereas try to make Id-ul-Azha as meat festival. Another reason behind the hike of the prices of sacrificial goats is said to be communal lobby that is working day-in and day-out to fabricate its evil plans. Then too, the determined Muslims faced every difficulty in their path of performing sacrifice and did so.

Far off from the hustle-bustle of the city, Lance Naik Mohd. Feroz Khan sacrificed his life at LOC in the firing of the Pakistani army. Thousands of the people attended his funeral. However, there are still some people who don’t know the real meaning of Id-ul-Azha and never interested in any national sorrow.

On the other hand, there are still some groups who are always in search of such occasions where they could get political mileage. According to their theory, wherever they see some political benefits, they always reach there.

The brave martyr was saluted and he got the kind of honour he deserved in death. It is high time that the family of the martyr should get every aid possible in the form of cash incentives and kinds. His death is a big slap on the faces of those communal minded people and the politicians as well who always give communal colour even to the deaths at LOC. As a Muslim, Feroz Khan has not only raised the names of India but also the Hyderabad where it is once again proved that Muslims are no lesser than any other community as far as patriotism is concerned.

Let’s come to the Separate Telangana Movement. The people who were involved in agitation against the bifurcation of the state, are themselves responsible to make this weaker. The agitators from Seemandhra who had met CM Kiran Kumar Reddy to withdraw their agitation, should have done this moths earlier.

It is useless to go on a strike putting our own people in trouble. The death of a person is as regrettable as the peace of the region is dearer. There are always some corners in the house where the owner of the house go secretly to weep. Cyclone Phailin also played spoilsport in weakening the Seemandhra agitation.

Loksabha speaker in New Delhi has rejected the resignations 13 MPs of Seemandhra. This shows that there is no hindrance remained in the path of formation of separate Telangana state.

It is high time that the center should approve this bill at its earliest. Telangana people have now kept quiet as they are sure that sooner or later, they are going to get their Telanagana as the movement has gained momentum and would meet the success whereas the leaders agitating for United Andhara, have gone back to their houses.

It should be government’s priority to make sure that electric supply would not be interrupted. Only few days are left for the government to remain in power and by supplying electricity without interruption, it could get some sympathy and earn good name as it would ensure the votes. Kiran Kumar Reddy had done nothing.

He wants to rule the people of both the regions and waiting for the formation of the new state. Let me once again remind the government that the martyrdom of Lance Naik Mohd. Feroz Khan should not go wasted.

It is the responsibility of the government to provide a plot of land to the bereaved family or arrange the construction of a house. How the change is going to take place in Telangana, only time will tell.
