Hyderabad, November 04: Amidst tight security, the Indian and Australian teams arrived here for the fifth One-Day cricket match, to be played on Thursday at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.
The teams arrived on a chartered flight from Mohali on Tuesday evening. The teams reached Taj Krishna with a police motorcade following the buses. Media members were not allowed inside the gate of the hotel, citing security reasons. The hotel turned into a fortress with policemen guarding it at every point.
The visitors, who are hit by injuries with fast bowler Peter Siddle joining the casualty list, had a minor scare when all-rounder Moires Henriques was taken for an MRI scan, according to sources.
But the reports were normal and the Aussies breathed a sigh of relief. James Hopes, wicketkeeper Tim Paine and fast bowler Brett Lee have already returned to Australia because of injuries.
The Australian team is expected to have a training session on Wednesday morning followed by the Indians. However, some of the Australians may not take part in the practice.
