Security has been beefed up in the twin cities as Bonalu festival began on Sunday and Ramadan on Monday. Commissioner police Mr. N Mahindra Reddy told that in view of month long Ramadan and Bonal festival in July, police maintains vigilance in old city and other sensitive areas of the city. He further stated that special bandobast is being made on the occasion of bonal procession of Mahankali in Secunderabad and Akanna Madanna temple in old city. CRPF, Rapid Action Force and local police are directed to be alert in sensitive areas.
