Tight Security During Assembly Session

Assembly Speaker Nadendla Manohar today held a high-level review meeting with senior police officials in connection with the security arrangements during the budget session of the state legislature commencing from March 13.

The City Police Commissioner Anurag Sharma, DIG Law and Order, officials of the traffic police and intelligence bureau attended the meeting where the security arrangements during the legislature session, specially keeping view the recent twin bomb blasts in Dilshuknagar, were discussed.

Later speaking to the media Anurag Sharma said that fool-proof security arrangements were being made in and outside the legislature premises. Additional forces from outside are also being brought for deployment around the premises. CRPF personnel would be deployed at sensitive areas around the Assembly premises.

The Commissioner of Police further explained that CCTV cameras would also be installed at strategic points in the premises and also in sensitive areas outside. Only legitimate pass holders would be permitted and that too after required searches and frisking, he added.(NSS)
