Former world number one golfer Tiger Woods may require a spiritual Indian guru to rediscover his on-field form and preserve his elite status in the sport as he would be a big loss if he quits, according to a golf commentator.
The 14-time major winner on Thursday announced that he was quitting the game ” indefinitely” in view of his staggering decline in form.
Reflecting on Tiger’s slump in form, golf commentator Peter Alliss said that Tiger might go to India like the Beatles and discover something magical, adding that he would be a huge miss, the BBC reported.
Earlier this month, Woods had backed out of the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines due to back pain.
However, Woods also indicated that he would return to golf when he thinks he is ready. (ANI)
