Tie Aarundati Roy to the Army Jeep instead of stone pelters says Paresh Rawal

New Delhi: Lokh Sabha MP and Bollywood Actor Paresh Rawal took to twitter on Sunday evening to express his opinion about the Author and activist Arundati Roy. He tweeted that ‘instead of tying stone pelter on the army jeep tie Arundati Roy’.

The Bollywood Actor who won National award comment was a reference to the video that went viral showing a youth tied in front of Army Jeep in order to avoid stone pelters in Central Kashmir’s Budgam District a few days back in April.

The video tweeted by Jammu and Kashmir Opposition leader Omar Abdullah created controversy all over the state demanding an explanation from the Army. Former Chief Minister was accused of defaming the Army.

The investigations carried out by the army later revealed that the youth tied in front of the Army jeep was Farooq Ahmad Dar, a carpet weaver who was on his way to attend a funeral at his sister’s house. 53 Rashtriya Rifles was the Army Unit responsible for the act.

Digvijay Singh, AICC general secretary reacting to the actor-turned politician’s tweet asked Paresh ‘why not tie the “person who stitched PDP/BJP alliance’, as reported in Indian Express.
