Ticketless People also can Attend Modi Meeting

State BJP president G Kishan Reddy on Tuesday made it clear that those who did not buy entrance tickets also could attend the public meeting to be addressed by party Prime Minister candidate and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi.

Speaking to the media here, Kishan Reddy expressed his disgust over some mischief mongers launching a vilification campaign against the BJP calling upon people to buy a Rs 5 ticket to attend his public meeting here om August 11. He explained that the party had decided to collect Rs 5 from party workers on the occasion so that the money could be pooled and donated to the Uttarakhand victims relief fund. He lamented that some jealous political leaders were misleading the people against the good intentions of the BJP.

BJP national leader M. Venkaiah Naidu said the Rs 5 ticket was planned and introduced to rope in the youth into a noble cause of coming to the aid of Uttarakhand disaster victims. He also pointed out that legendary leaders like Mahatma Gandhi and Jaya Prakash Narayan had collected donations for movements. He said some people, who were not able to stomach the skyrocketing popularity of Narendra Modi, were indulging in vilification campaign. (NSS)
