Narrating the incident, King Khan shared a story about real Sanju and revealed a tale how he helped him when he had no one to turn to in Mumbai.

SRK said, “Chhota sa kissa batana chahunga sabko, ki jab main Mumbai mein naya naya aaya tha, tab mera koi dost nahi tha, main kisiko nahi jaanta tha aur mera jhagda ho gaya tha kisike saath. I had nobody to turn to and I was hoping ki main Delhi mein hoon. Mere maa-baap bhi nahi the, aur ek aadmi tha jo apni jeep leke mere paas aaya tha and that was Sanjay Dutt and he said, ‘If anyone touches you, you tell me’. So he is my elder brother.” (When I came to Mumbai for the first time, I had no one, no friends. I didn’t know anyone in the city. One day, I got into a fight with someone and I had nobody to turn to. Even my parents were no more, but there was one man who came to my aid and said that if anyone touches me, I should tell him. The man was Sanjay Dutt and I still owe him.)

Sanju has broken many box office records and is now moving towards Rs 200 cr mark.

Written and directed by Rajkumar Hirani, ‘Sanju’ stars Ranbir as Sanjay Dutt, with Manisha Koirala, Paresh Rawal, Dia Mirza, Sonam Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Jim Sarbh and Anushka Sharma in pivotal roles.

The much-awaited biopic released on June 29.
