Three youths arrested and Rs 4.1 lakh cash seized

Gulbarga, November 01: Special Investigation Team (SIT) Police today arrested three teen-aged boys and recovered Rs 4.1 lakh cash stolen from two wine shop managers on September 15. Addressing a press conference here, Gulbarga District Superintendent of Police Praveen Madukar Pawar said the youths had robbed the money from Dhatha wine shop Managers at Chithapur taluk on September 15 for purchasing Motorbikes. The Managers Anil Jambagi and Kapalayya Guthedar were going on a motor cycle carrying the cash for depositing in a bank when the culprits attaked them and snatched the cash bag before escaping with the booty. The arrested were identified as Basavaraj (19), Dhanaraj (19) and Dhathu (22). Another culprit Rakesh has escaped. Police also recovered two mobile phones, 2 motorcycles, one maruthi car, knife, and Rs 4.1 lakh cash from them. All the arrested were native of Kalagi village in Chithapur taluk of Gulbarga distrirct. The arrested were remanded to judicial custody by a Magistrate before whom they were produced.
