Three naxalites surrender in Chattisgarh

Raipur, April 24: Three naxalites, including a couple, surrendered before police in Bijapur district on Friday.

Dilip and his wife Sadhna along with Sannu who were involved in naxal activities in Chhattisgarh surrendered before police, Superintendent of Police Avinash Mohanty told a news agency.

Dilip, a ‘commander’ among the red combatants was associated with the movement for the last six years while his wife and Sannu were with the group for the last two years, Mohanty said.

With the growing pressure from police in the forest areas of the district, they surrendered to lead a normal life, he said.
