Three more succumb to swine flu in Chandigarh

Chandigarh, December 08: Three more swine flu fatalities were reported in the Union Territory where seven H1N1 cases surfaced today, a health official said.

A man each hailing from Hoshiarpur, Patiala and Chandigarh succumbed to the illness at PGIMER here, he said.

With mercury dipping in Chandigarh and neighbouring areas, the city is witnessing an increase in the number of swine flu cases.

So far, 175 people, including over 50 school children, have contracted the disease in the city, the official said.
