Three Maoists held in Orissa

Koraput (Orissa), November 14: Three women Maoists, including one carrying a reward of Rs two lakh in Andhra Pradesh, and the driver of their vehicle were arrested today in Orissa’s Koraput district, police said.

Acting on intelligence inputs, police intercepted the vehicle near Dudhari under Semiliguda area and arrested them.

One of the women ultras was identified as a hardcore Maoist Padma alias Sirisa alias Nirmala, who was in the wanted list of Andhra Pradesh police, they said.

The wife of top Maoist leader Ram Krishna, she is carrying a cash prize of Rs two lakh in Andhra Pradesh, police said.

Among the top three Maoist leaders, Krishna is the secretary of Andhra-Orissa Border Special Zonal Committee of the Maoist organisation and a central committee member of CPI (Maoist).
