Three killed in clash over land dispute in Bihar

Bagaha (Bihar), July 15: Three persons were killed and nine others injured in a bloody clash between two groups over a disputed piece of land at Bariarwa Sareh village in West Champaran district today, police said.

Superintendent of police Sidhartha Mohan Jain, who is camping at the incident site, said that two groups belonging to same caste clashed over possession of a piece of land at the village in which three people were killed and nine others were seriously injured.

The SP said while Batkhari Yadav died on the spot, Rajdeo Yadav who received serious cut injuries and was referred to Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh died on the way. Another critically injured person Shivsagar Yadav died at Sub-divisional hospital here during treatment, he said.
