New Delhi, December 06: In yet another mishap involving the Delhi Metro, three labourers were injured after they fell off an elevated platform at the under-construction station in Govindpuri in south Delhi.
Acting swift after the mishap, the DMRC ordered an internal inquiry into the incident that took place late last night at the Govindpuri station, which is part of the Central Secretariat-Badarpur line.
The three workers, who were placing ‘shuttering plates’ on the raised platform inside the station, fell from the platform around 11 pm last night, DMRC sources said.
They said the injured were immediately rushed to Moolchand Hospital. Two of them were discharged but the third one is being kept under observation.
The third labourer has sustained severe head injuries, but his condition is stated to be stable, the sources said.
