‘Three Idiots’ entirely based on my work: Chetan Bhagat

Bhopal, February 16: Writer Chetan Bhagat today again criticised the makers of ‘Three Idiots’ saying though the movie was not a carbon copy of his novel ‘Five Point Someone’, it was based entirely on it.

Addressing a press conference, he said the controversy about not giving proper credit to him in the film had led to exchange of some hot words with the film’s producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra and its hero Aamir Khan after the release of the film.

The writer said there was no need for Aamir Khan to wade into the controversy particularly since he had admitted to not having read the original book.

Bhagat said he did not want the issue to drag for a long time as he did not want to stoop to the level of its producer and hero.
