Three Hyderabad students bagged International Olympiad Award for the year 2012 and 2013.
Presented by Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) three Hyderabad students K Sneha Reddy, Aahwan Reddy and Yashwanth Reddy did the city proud by bagging top ranks in International Maths Olympiad (IMO) and National Science Olympiad (NSO) category. The British Council and BBC Knowledge associated with SOF for the Olympiads.
K Sneha Reddy of FIIT JEE World School bagged 2nd rank internationally and first at the state level under 6th International Maths Olympiad (IMO) and won a cash prize worth Rs 25,000 (class 11th).
From Sri Chaitanya Techno School, K Aahwan Reddy of class 10th secured third position internationally and 1st in state and received a cash prize of Rs 10,000 under the 15th National Science Olympiad (NSO).
Student of Delhi Public School, Yashwanth Reddy of class 4th was ranked second in the International Level and first in the state level under the National Science Olympiad Category (NSO) and received an I-pad.
In a press note issued in city today Mahabir Singh, Founder & Executive Director, SOF, said 24,000 students from 1,050 cities across India and 14 countries have been awarded for achieving top state level ranks.
For the academic Year 2012-13, around 25,000 schools registered for the 4 Olympiads and millions of students appeared in them. SOF is the largest conductor of Olympiads in Asia. (INN)
