Three held for stealing petrol, diesel from IOC tankers

SOT sleuths of LB Nagar Zone today intercepted an Indian Oil Tanker, which was transporting petrol and diesel from IOC depot at Cherlapally to Vimal Filling Station, Daroor in Ranga Reddy District. Three persons were arrested.

Police said the accused stopped their vehicle at Sarala

Parking Yard at Bairamalguda and stealthily drawing petrol and diesel from the vehicle. The accused were identified as Bekani Laxma Reddy, 48, garage owner of Pendi Pulla Reddy Garden, Orsu Raju, 22, driver of Indian Oil tanker) residing at Surya Nagar, Boduppal and M. Srinivas Reddy, 45, DCM driver of Hasthinapuram East.

The police seized Indian Oil Tanker with 4000 litre petrol, 8,000 litre diesel, 12 white petrol cans, one white petrol drum containing 200 litre, a DCM vehicle, loading and unloading pipes and so on. Police said Bekani Laxma Reddy, who was running Sarala Parking Yard in Bairamalguda, LB

Nagar, was indulging in illegal purchase of petrol/diesel from drivers of Indian Oil tankers and selling the same at lower price.

The accused along with seized property were handed over to the LB Nagar Police. The raids were conducted under the supervision of Syed Rafeeq, Addl. Dy. Commissioner of Police, Special Operations Team, Rachakonda, by T. Ravi Kumar, Inspector, Mir Mudasir Ali, SI and the staff of Special Operations Team, L.B. Nagar Zone. (NSS)
