Three youths were arrested on Thursday by the Cyber Crime Police, CCS, DD, Hyderabad for committing thefts.
In a pressnote here, Dy. Commissioner of Police, Detective Department, CCS, Hyderabad has stated that the accused Immaraju Pramod Vimal, 23, of Srinagar Colony, Kandikatti Jayanand Arun, 22, of New Gayatri Nagar, Jillelaguda and Neelapally Mahender, 20, of Nehru Nagar Colony, Sherlingampally formed into a gang and committed theft of various articles.
The DCP has stated that on March 6, the trio lifted Honda CRV car (AP-07-BN-3546 with duplicate No. AP-10-AU-1234) at Czech Colony. On March 18, they lifted Iphone 4s at KBR Park, on March 20 Samsung Galaxy S3 at KBR Park, On March 25 March Iphone 5 at Necklace Road; on March 26 Iphone 5 at KBR Park, on March 30 a Nokia Lumia at Trimulgherry and another Nokia Lumia at KBR Park on April 1.
The trio used to target the persons who give advertisements online in websites viz., www.OLX.com , www.Quikr.com and so on. They saw an advertisement in www.Quikr.com for sale of Honda CRV car, went to the residence of owner of the car at Czech colony, took the vehicle for a drive and after going some distance, pushed the watchman out of the car and took away the car. Following a complaint, a case has been registered at SR Nagar Police Station. Similarly, they used to give appointment to the owners of the mobiles, who post ads for sale of high-end mobiles. They used to call them to a particular place and one of them talk to the person who gave ad, the remaining two will be in the vehicle and plead that they will show the mobile to his friends and then escape.
The police recovered Honda CRV car (AP-07-BN-3546 (Duplicate number plate bearing No. AP-10-AU-1234) and six high-end Mobiles from their possession.
Inspector Majid Ali Khan, SI Venu Gopal and others cracked the case and nabbed the accused and recovered the stolen property. (NSS)
