Three government officials in ACB net

Hyderabad, September 24: Three government employees were caught taking bribe by Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths in separate cases.

The town planning supervisor in the Nalgonda municipality V Prabhakar Rao was caught red-handed on Thursday morning in his office, while taking Rs 5,000 bribe from a person to process a file pertaining to compensation payment for his land which was acquired by the municipality.

Prabhakar Rao was arrested and will be produced before a special court for ACB cases in Hyderabad, an official release said.

In another case, a senior assistant in the Child Development Project Office, ICDS of Gudiwada in the Krishna district, G Santhibabu was caught taking a bribe of Rs 6,000 in his office from a person to prepare and hand over cheques in favour of LIC towards monthly premium of about 80 Anganwadi workers. The amount would have been deducted from the honorarium of the workers

and teachers. The arrested official will be produced before a special court for ACB cases in Vijayawada.

In another catch, ACB sleuths caught the deputy tehsildar of Gurajala mandal in Guntur district, Shaik Moulana Abdul Kalam Azad red-handed while he was taking Rs 2,000 bribe for doing an official favour to one Shaik Ramzan Bi.
