The Cyber Crime Police, CCS, DD Hyderabad City arrested three offenders, Vishal Singh, Territory Manager in India Info Line, New Delhi, resident of Rajori Garden, New Delhi, Hari Shankar Singh, r/o Baljit nagar, New Delhi, and Ramlal Singh, r/o Baljit nagar, New Delhi, who have cheated gullible people from all over India on the pretext of providing loans against Insurance Policies like Exide Life Insurance, HDFC Life Insurance etc., and seized Net Cash of Rs. 9,10,000, Two mobile phones and 4-ATM cards of various banks from the accused persons.
The facts of the case are that on May 2, 2016, police received a complaint from Mir Ahmed Ali of New Mallepally, Hyderabad , wherein he stated that on March 22, he received phone calls from cell Nos. 8745026172, 8745927857, 7065832991 namely Praveen, Shakeel Ahmed, Siddarth stating that they will arrange loan amount of Rs.40,00,000/- from Exide Life Insurance without interest. Later one person by name Gopi (cell: No: 9640477677) approached him and said that he is the Executive of Exide Life Insurance and collected all required documents from him and also taken one cheque for Rs. 99,999/-. Again the said persons called the complainant and demanded to deposit an amount of Rs. 1,15,000/- in the A/C No: 53380200000073 on the name of Max Services towards proceesing fees, document charges etc., Believing their version he has deposited the said amount . Later the said persons disconnected the conversation with him. Then he realised that he was cheated by them. Hence, he requested the police to take necessary action.
During the investigation the Cyber Crime team analyzed the CDRs, obtained bank account statements and account holder details. The Team located the offenders in New Delhi, apprehended the accused persons on June 24 and brought them to Hyderabad on transit warrant.
