Jogulamba Gadwal: Three members of a family were killed on the spot when the car in which they were travelling rammed a cement base of an electric tower on the outskirts of Undavelli near Pulluru toll plaza in the wee hours of Monday. The deceased were identified as Kiran Singh, 54, and his family. Residents of Kurnool, they were returning home after attending a wedding in Hyderabad.
When the ill-fated car reached at Undavelli, its driver lost control and crash into the cemented base of an electric tower. As a result, Kiran Singh and his daughters Akshitha Bai and Sharada Bai died on the spot. His wife Vijaya Lakshmi, 47, and son Vijay Singh, 10, were shifted to Kurnool government hospital, where their condition was stated to be critical. (NSS)
