Three elderly persons killed in road accidents

A 70-year-old man succumbed to the injuries which he sustained after he was hit and run by an unidentified vehicle.

According to Dundigal police, the victim, B Rajaiah, met with the accident on Monday night while trying to cross the road near his residence in Gajilapur. He was immediately rushed to Gandhi Hospital where he was declared brought dead. Efforts are being made to identify the killer car and its driver.

In another case, B Surya Prakasah, 72, died of injuries which he sustained when the tractor he was driving turned turtle near his house in Jawaharnagar. He met with the accident on Monday and was admitted to the Gandhi Hospital where he died a few hours admission.

In a different case, 65-year-old A Sarojini of Uppal was killed after she was hit by an unidentified auto-rickshaw near Veerappagadda. The accident occurred on Monday evening. She was admitted to the Gandhi Hospital where she died on Tuesday, Uppal police said. (INN)
