The Supreme Court on Wednesday directed the Deputy Inspector General (DIGs) Sukkur and Jacobabad to take three Muslim converted women with themselves and allow them to live where they wanted in accordance with their free will.
The Court observed that ladies were adult and in position to decide about their future with their respective husbands as they had been given the opportunity to take a decision with their sweet will, secured from access of any party.
The bench also directed police to provide adequate security to these females and remarked that police would be responsible for their protection.
A three member bench comprising Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, Justice Khilji Arif Hussain and Justice Tariq Pervez resumed hearing of an application moved by Pakistan Hindu Council.
The bench directed DIG Sindh to take away these ladies in the registrar office and get information about their consent about their future plans and submit a report with the court within a period of two week.
The court disposed off the matter.
The petitioner Dr Rumaish Kumar chairman Pakistan Hindu Council had moved an application with allegations of forceful abduction of three Hindu women who had been converted to Islam; Faryal (Rinkle Kumari), Dr. Hifza (Lata) and Aleema (Asha Kumari).
